Package Overview

The Baseline Personnel Security Standard is a standard background screening package as advised by the UK Government. In place since 2009, the BPSS is a package of checks that meets the baseline employee checking standard used for anyone working within or on behalf of a government department. It is also a basic entry-level standard that organisations in sectors such as finance and communications are expected to meet. 

Checks included in this package

• ID check
• Right to work in the UK
• 3 years employment history including gap referencing
• Criminal record - Basic disclosure

This package is for UK based candidates only and can be purchased on a pay-per-candidate basis. Please do not purchase this package if your candidate requires international checks.  On average on receipt of correct submission of information required this package takes 14 working days to complete.*

*Third party checks such as criminal records can sometimes take up to 15 working days.
